I’m very excited to put my name forward to be your Ward 1 representative around the City of Waterloo Council table. Over the course of the next few months I am looking forward to learning about you, hearing your stories, and understanding your ideas on what’s possible for our community now and for the future.
I envision a city where there are outstanding learning opportunities for everyone, equitable access to meaningful work, first-class recreational facilities, fully integrated health and social services, and more. The City of Waterloo already has so much to offer due to hard work, determination, innovation, and people like you and me working together to make it happen.
I value living in Waterloo. It has been a terrific place to raise my family, to work and play, to volunteer, and to make wonderful friends. Ward 1 in particular is warm, welcoming, and chock-full of interested people willing to roll up their sleeves and get the job done! I’d like to take one of the best things that Ward 1 has to offer – neighbourhood associations/groups and see how we can make them work throughout the city.
In addition, with your input and assistance, I plan to integrate your ideas to further our City of Waterloo becoming a truly ‘Smart City.’
I want to be your voice in the decision-making that makes what is good, better, and what needs improvement, improved – now and as we move into the 2020’s. To do that, I want to hear from you so I can be clear on your concerns and understand your ideas. Please contact me. (this is the click here part)
As we move through this super summer we have been having, and into the fall, I will write again in this What’s New section – reflecting what I have heard from you and identifying the approach I will take regarding neighbourhood associations, intensification, health and social services and more.
Please check in regularly.
